The most prestigious cinema award in France, the Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinémas, mostly known as the César Awards, was created back in 1974 as an initiative of Georges Cravenne to celebrate the best French films of each year. Today, the Academy announced the nominations for the 43rd Edition of the awards, which will take place on March 2, 2018, at Salle Pleyel, Paris. Now, Paris Design Agenda is going to cover the major categories, and here’s a little preview, 120 Battements par Minute and Au Revoir Là-Haut lead the pack.

The awards are made up of professionals and personalities of the film industry and together they “remind us of the eminently collective character of filmmaking and draw the public’s attention to these professionals whose passion and meticulous skills combine to make cinema so special.”
