Art Paris 2019 is an event that occurred rom April 4-7th, at the amazing Grand Palais, in Paris. This massive event just had its 21st edition, that was an absolute success! It brought over 100 modern and contemporary art galleries, that shared the concept of artwork from the post-war years to the present day. There were over 20 countries participating on this year’s edition, so today, Paris Design Agenda lets you in on the best moments of this event.
During Art Paris 2019, there was a thematic exhibition called AWARE: Archives of Women Artists, Research and Exhibitions, organized by AWARE. This features 25 projects from female artists that shared the concept of discrimination on the art world. Their purpose is to demonstrate appreciation for the female arts, that have been shadowed by the gender gap.
There was also another amazing exhibition at this year’s Art Paris 2019, nominated of Southern Stars: An Exploration of Latin American Art. On this specific exhibition, it was displayed over twenty European, Asian and Latin American galleries. Curated by Valentina Locatelli, their purpose sat on the display of Latin American works that focused on cultural issues.
ILEX Gallery (Rome)
ILEX is a gallery that specializes into contemporary creative photography, where they display amazing projects from international artists. At Art Paris 2019, it presented three artists: Giovanni Cocco, Silvia Codignola and Nathalie Daoust.
Galerie Eko Sato (Paris)
The Galerie Eko Sato is dedicated to displaying various emerging artists and demonstrate them to the world.The three artists presented are Laurent Debraux, Eudes Menichetti and Catarina Rosa.
Intervalle (Paris)
The Intervalle Gallery stands out in the crowd, because it features the concept on photography and video. The artists featured in this gallery, through Art Paris 2019 were Julien Mauve, Julien Mignot, and Raphaël Rapin.
