Salone del Mobile 2019 has officially ended, and it was a magnificent week for the industry of design. Memorable is the perfect word to describe Milan Design Week, because of its eventful event. Many artists and projects were celebrated, many presentations and trends were presented to interior design aficionados. There were also very exciting events spread across Milan, that gave the opportunity to absorb new artists and revisit the top artists that we know for some time. Today, Paris Design Agenda, lets you in on the great journey of the iconic India Mahdavi, during Salone del Mobile 2019.
During Salone del Mobile 2019, there were many events that celebrated amazing artists, from all over the world. There were a lot of creative exhibitions that were absolutely breathtaking, there’s no doubt about it. Louis Vuitton’s exhibition was no different from that concept, with the wonderful and out-of-the-box sensorial experience, Objets Nomades.
On the context of the Fuorisalone, during Salone del Mobile 2019, this Objets Nomades exhibition, demonstrated amazing pieces from various and prestigious artists such as Tokujin Yoshioka, Patricia Urquiola, Marcel Wanders and India Mahdavi. These pieces were exposed at the neoclassical Palazzo Serbelloni, where they featured the entire collection, and past editions in new colors and materials.
This Objets Nomades exhibition was eccentric and creative, in the measure that there were incredibly dark rooms with vibrant lights, contrasting with other rooms that were blindly white. In one of the rooms, were presented pieces from the top French interior designer, India Mahdavi. Amongst her pieces, you could find the amazing Talisman table, that perfectly sums up her cultural sensibility, due to her inspiration on the Mediterranean and Middle East.
Besides her amazing contribution at the Objets Nomades exhibition at Fuorisalone, India Mahdavi also stunned her way through Salone del Mobile 2019. So much so, that the interior designer acquired the Coveted Awards, for the Most Coveted Rug category. This amazing rug is part of a collection for the luxurious brand Golran, inspired by ancient Persian gardens.
For this collection, India Mahdavi created two versions that were well distinguished by the pattern that was presented, inspired on Persian gardens, and symbolizing the leaves. Each rug has its specific color range, resembling to the seasons that go through the year long. This specific rug was so mesmerizing, that got this incredible prize at Salone del Mobile 2019.
