Printemps and Prada teamed up for the holidays as a way of reinterpreting and enchanting customers with the essential and obsessional Christmas classics. The façades at Printemps Haussmann department store are meant to showcase the magic of Christmas Eve. The decorations include reindeer, stars, snowflakes and of course, Santa Claus.
In the heart of the department store, the atrium has been transformed for the occasion as a reinterpretation of Prada’s historic store in Milan Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, which plays host to all of the products designed exclusively by Prada for Printemps. A giant advent calendar, in the style of traditional Italian architecture, covers the main walls. The numbered windows will offer glimpses of animated mannequins as well as gift boxes made of the iconic Prada ’saffiano leather.’
The special designed collection includes sophisticated ready-to-wear bags, accessories and shoes featuring exclusive prints and colors, as well as typical Christmas gifts such as original advent calendars, carillons, foulards, essences and candles.
This is not the first time Printemps has joined forces with a designer to bring high fashion to its windows. The store has previously tapped Dior, Chanel and Lanvin to put their touches on its holiday display.
