Patrimonial exposition at the Museum-Gallery in Paris. 23 January 2014 / 24 January 2015
To celebrate its 250th anniversary, Baccarat is hosting a special exhibition, “Baccarat. Les 250 ans” at Maison Baccarat’s Museum-Gallery in Paris. A retrospective showcasing, where you can find almost 250 masterpieces that have become legends in over 250 years of history, culture, savoir-faire and unforgettable moments.
It was in 1764 that the company starts building his empire and his history in Lorraine, France as the most illustrious crystal manufacturer in world. The large decorated table at the entrance to the exhibition is a testament to this history, displaying some of the most prestigious creations commissioned by the world’s most prominent figures. The visit is around 5 big themes which represent the signature of the legendary brand.
Le rouge à l’or
Le rouge à l’or it’s one of the signature of Baccarat. It became from a fusion of high crystal and gold power of 24 carats giving to the material an incandescent vermilion. It finds its ultimate expression in ruby red, which can be seen in “Simon” vases designed especially for the Paris Universal Exhibition in 1867.
