The Stealth House consists of a lovely home located in a green hillside in Morcote (a small village in South Switzerland). This residence with a space of over 1000 square meters located within a mountain landscape has three levels and two wings within a modern architectural accomplishment. Not to mention the fact that this home features two unique furniture pieces by Vincent Van Duysen and Gio Ponti. Paris Design Agenda will be showing you the essentials of this modern home conceived by Giacomo Zamboni!
The home in Switzerland was designed by ZMB Architettura, and aside from its stunning views of Lake Lugano, it’s original due to its unusual matt black metal roof, the low-lying, black wood-panels, and glass walls. Not to mention that from the outside one can see a vast terrace with an outdoor kitchen, sitting under the cantilevered roof.
However, there are also many surprises for those who venture inside the home. Among some of the main highlights of this household, we can include an indoor swimming pool, an underground gym, and a master bedroom with unique sights and lights. Within the rest of the interiors, we can see the walls complemented with revested with semi-gloss black varnish, creating a wood effect.
The choices from Giacomo Zamboni manage to add luxury points to the presentation of the home. These design elements can be recognized as being elements from Molteni&C|Dada Contract Division, which includes the FreeStyle sofa system designed by Ferruccio Laviani. Sitting alongside this set, are the D.156.3 armchair designed by Gio Ponti as well as the Elain armchair designed by Vincent Van Duysen.
The D.156.3 armchair is a perfect example of a chair conceived by one of the Italian masters of architecture. Produced for Altamira, this is a unique furniture element part of the Molteni Heritage Collection. This unique chair is highlighted by the structure in solid maple with a glossy black finish or in natural American walnut.
Hudson is an armchair which never disappoints with its typical mid-century design and strong lines! The body structure is produced in solid walnut wood with metal shoes on its legs, made of polished brass.
Inspired by the mid-century retro designs, Loren features a simple and sophisticated design, including a swivel golden brass base and it is upholstered in leather. A versatile and curvy chair for any room!
