Over the last 11 years, fashion brands and artists alike have shown their solidarity with children all over the world through 11 projects organized by the operation Frimousses de Créateurs. This year, the project is inviting designers including Jean Paul Gaultier, Chantal Thomass, and Lorenz Bäumer, alongside brands such as Lanvin, Dior, Chanel, Gucci and Louis Vuitton, and artists from Carlos Cruz Diez to Nicolas Saint Grégoire, to design a doll inspired by the French capital.
The project, Le Pari(s) Merveilleux, encourages the reinterpretation of a city which is renowned as a hotbed of creativity, and aims to raise enough funds to fulfill the generous aim of vaccinating the children of Darfur. The submissions are on show at the Petit Palais since November 26 until December 1, before the auction organized by Artcurial, which will take place at the Four Season Hotel George V on December 2.
