Suzanne Kasler is one of the best interior designers of our time due to her ability to combine both traditional and contemporary elements in a single space or furniture design. Recently, the designer launched a new Paris collection of home furnishings for furniture brand, Hickory Chair. This exceptional was inspired by some of Kasler’s favorite flea markets in Paris, including the Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen. Today, Paris Design Agenda will dive into this remarkable collection, so take a look.
“I love flea markets, especially spotting a random piece of furniture that could be translated for a room today,” explained Suzanne Kasler, she continues, “To me, random means a mix, with stained-wood pieces, overscale sofas, a curious little chair.”
This new collection is best defined as an eclectic and laid-back character and Parisian dramatic architectural elements are seen throughout the collection. The collection is further enhanced by soft curves, reeded embellishments, tailored lines and edited details.
Inspired by what it is seen in remarkable flea markets in Paris, the collection is comprised of dozens of exceptional designs, including an unconventional high-backed bench in Sweden’s Gustavian style, 1960s gondola-back game chairs, a cocktail table personalized with an artsy and crafty touch, a Normandy king bed, and countless other stellar designs.
