Have you ever seen the astonishing Parisian apartment of Hilary Swank? well, if you haven’t today is your chance. The award-winning actress owns a historic apartment located on the Left Bank area of Paris whose interiors are simply remarkable especially due to its traditional charm and contemporary design. Axel Huynh was the interior design behind this marvelous work.
The Actress who was recently ventured into the fashion and entrepreneurial world, launching a luxury line entitled Mission Statement, has become infatuated with Paris, especially in regards to its beauty and light as well as the phenomenal architecture and pastries.
With the expertise of designer Axel Huynh (founder of Crazybaby and creative director of furniture firm Henryot & Cie), Hilary Swank’s apartment has an amazing series of features that blend in perfectly, from soaring ceilings to its polished herringbone floors, to marble fireplaces and large windows.
Many of the pieces decorating the apartment are from Huynh’s design company, such as this marvellous marble desk and grey upholstered headboard depicted below.
This bedroom design has an intriguing selection of both vintage and modern elements. The bed is covered linens of Egyptian satin from Magbé Camara and at its side, one can see a dazzling lamp by Objet de Curiosité, among many other befitting pieces. Most importantly, it accomplished the idea of comfort as said by Huynh himself, – “We wanted to create something really lively and fun yet where you could instantly feel at home.”
Basically, every division is decorated to the detail, exuding a glamorous and organic look. In addition, the apartment also has a nice variation of colour.
Hilary Swank met the designer at the Miami Art Basel design event and was immediately drawn to his “joie de vivre” philosophy, thus they ended up working together for a longer period than expected.
