India Mahdavi is recognized as a top French interior designer responsible for some of the best projects on the planet. From France to the United States, she has transformed every project into the most colorful and unique setting. Between her gallery and first showroom, she has decided to inaugurate a brand new showroom, filled with bespoke and collaborative pieces. Today, Paris Design Agenda is about to introduce this brand new place from the top designer.
India Mahdavi has opened her studio and 2000, and since then, she has revolutionize the interior design world. Through the concept of happiness and color, she aims to create, perfectly displaying her design identity. She has also created furniture collections and established many design connections and collaborations with high personalities in this industry.
Located on Rue de Bellechasse, nº 29, in the heart of Paris, the top French designer opened a brand new showroom right next to the Musée d’Orsay. It’s halfway between the showroom and the gallery, in addition to the first two – the studio and the small objects shop – located right next to rue Las-Cases. This means that all of Mahdavi’s locations breath design and the perfect ambiance of Paris.
This brand new showroom has been designed to exhibit in a unique way, the different pieces resulting from collaborations between India Mahdavi and various major players in the design and craftsmanship industry. According to India Mahdavi, “It is the strength of the hand associated with that of the spirit that makes magic work. Beauty comes from this unique encounter”.
Displayed at this showroom, it’s the Bishop stool revisited by the Manufacture des Émaux de Longwy in a flowery version enameled by hand, and the That’s All Folks coffee table in colored straw marquetry designed with Ateliers Lison de Caunes. As you can see, it’s the perfect piece to have on a full of life and happiness setting.
There’s also an incredible piece such as the Clover chandelier, the Pistil table made of blown glass and poured in the Venetian workshops of WonderGlass, and the Nuage all screen in rattan arches.
