Looking to combine artisanal tradition with contemporary ideas, Italian designer Pierpaolo Piccioli unveiled his spring summer collection. The Pierpaolo Piccioli’s spring couture collection for the Italian house was every fashion lover’s dream come to life. The runway was full of a multitude of spring hues including hot pink, lavender, and seafoam green.

The Schiaparelli Haute Couture show held in the atelier which served as the famous couturier’s apartment, the collection was devoted to showcasing the house’s heritage and delivering typically Schiaparelli designs to its clients.

We can describe the Ralph and Russo SS18 haute couture show as a fairytale, exactly what the fashion house delivered. Quite classic, surreal, supremely elegant, full of incredibly beautiful garments. Silhouettes looked very much to the past, sometimes using the elegance that comes with conservatism and confidence to ground the looks.

Zuhair Murad presented its spring 2018 couture collection, with pieces that seemed to be heavily influenced by Indigenous cultures. The models wore a feather planted into the back of each hairstyle. “Most of the time, I am inspired by the past, and this is a kind of a homage and respect to the people who left us a very beautiful heritage of art, craftsmanship, and design,” Zuhair Murad.

Elie Saab’s 2018 runway show was a true fairytale. Embracing a decadent, seductive and very feminine elegance. The colour palette revived courtesy for colours as coral, silver, wisteria, baby blue and others.

Beautiful, rebellious and dramatic, the Dior spring summer 2018 couture show was inspired in celebrating women artists. There were no bags, and only a couple of shoe styles, including an asymmetric sided court, and a gold sandal, worn with fishnets.

Chanel

The Chanel show was inside of a French garden. Karl Lagerfeld had recreated one in the confines of the Grand Palais, down to the trellises twined with climbing roses and urns spilling blooms and the guests took their seats in an intimate walled garden circling a fountain centrepiece. Lagerfeld’s pick of the bunch for next season included rose satin styles with tulip-shaped skirts.

Wearing a provocatively unique eyewear the models marched down Vauthier’s Haute Couture runway with his bold aesthetic, naturally making this eyewear collection unambiguously fierce.
