FENDI Casa will be presenting a new collection at Maison & Objet 2019, the increasingly intense expression of the subtle boundary between fashion and interior design. The codes that have become a symbol of the Roman Maison are transferred inside the home: from Selleria piping to zips on the sofa and chair upholstery, right through to the FENDI bag buttons and the iconic logo F is FENDI logo, with a choice of galvanic coatings and leather upholsteries.
The symbolic universe of FENDI Casa finds a new perspective, aesthetic dimensions in elegant environments that invite relaxation. The purity of the lines and quality of the materials are illuminated by geometrical illusions and splashes of colour: nubuk, structured fabrics and three-dimensional patterns, graphic details and lines developed asymmetrically bring the pieces to life, in a creative, ironic repartee between fashion and interior design.
The Ceasar Tailor sofa sports a seductive, modern design. The mock stitching in the centre of the seat where the backrest meets highlights the uniqueness of the FENDI Casa style in terms of aesthetics and design. Available in several version (depth, backrest, curvature), with removable leather or fabric upholstery.
A classic taste for the new Duke sofa, characterised by the seat sporting t-cushions and padded armrests, which create a Boston bag effect, available in suede or crocodile leather. Fashion and functionality come together to provide support for the back cushion, a frame covered in leather with a raw cut edge. The FENDI logo is heat-stamped on the back, the zip is metal, the galvanised steel profile laser-etched with the FENDI logo.
The attraction of the FENDI accessory world makes Dorian, a masterpiece of elegance and style, irresistible. The emotional attraction to Selleria piping, the metal zip at the base of the armrests, reveals cut and coloured, hand-sewn ribbed seams. Meticulous details, such as the zip slider with pull, FENDI logo and leather pull cord show how savoir-faire is chartering unexplored waters in home décor. Dorian with its all-removable covers is accompanied by new cushions featuring zips that break up the volume, just like the zips on the backrest, and the reversed or all-over FENDI logos.
Fashionable nuances become apparent in the new Doyle armchair, which sports a leather handle on the back and feet in galvanised finishes. Doyle, with its removable covers and customisable to the extreme, is a universe of precious details: from the FENDI logo to the new completely silent rotating mechanism designed and produced in Italy, which rewrites the codes
of luxury.
A show-stopping armchair, whose style draws its inspiration from mid-20th-century architecture in a continuous, seductive repartee between fashion and design, Brigitte has also evolved into a loveseat with removable covers, with even the underside carefully finished. Steel frame with small metal parts galvanised in the same bronze shadow, gunmetal or new Palladio finishes as the frame.
The Ford line has been extended to include the new marble dining table. The Lazy Susan in the centre is optional and adds functional as well as aesthetic value. Hewn from a single slab of marble, it lends continuity to the movement and veining on the top thereby combining luxury with elegance. The new Ceasar bed creates an elegant, cosy atmosphere, in a continuum of style and craftsmanship embellished with the most recognisable FENDI iconographic details. Ceasar’s geometric lines are enhanced by the curvature of the headboard, which has a fully removable cover, just like the bed ring, produced using an original construction technique and divided into two sinuous, symmetrical elements sporting the high relief embroidered all-over FENDI logo.
The smooth, modern design of the Moonlight bedside table is emphasised by the metal structure, which embraces the curves in the wood, creating a highly original piece of furniture that is elegant, refined and rich in detail. The revolving tray transforms the bedside table into a veritable gem: the metal part is made from a single piece of aluminium to guarantee precision; the sandblasted mirrored glass top with the F is FENDI logo is presented in the shades of bronze, dark blue, smoke grey or green.
