Joseph Dirand has opened the doors to his Paris apartment, which stands as a set for the most amazing settings. Recognized as one of the top interior designers of the French market and also of the world, it is obvious that the designer should have a lavish apartment, in the heart of Paris. Join Paris Design Agenda and take the tour through his home!

Located in Paris, on a building constructed on the Passy hill as a hotel for the Exposition Universelle of 1900, the designer found his brand new home. This 2,600-square-foot space is shared between Dirand, his wife Anso, and his daughters. In the kitchen, they have an amazing custom banquette by Dirand, an Eric Schmitt pendant and an Ettore Sottsass table.

Stone and marble are a current theme throughout the home, as you can see through the Breccia Stazzema marble island anchored around the kitchen, decorated with a Philippe Anthonioz chandelier. Walls, flat surfaces, baths are all in soft-tone stone or marble—often cut from massive blocks, which were bought by the designer a long time ago.

Amazing Paonazzo marble clads the bath, along with an Eric Schmitt bronze-and-fabric pouf, that perfectly matches in this setting. Waterworks sink and tub fittings. According to Joseph Dirand, “this material is like a landscape. The master bath is enrobed with paonazzo marble from the mountains above Carrara.”

In this amazing bedroom, there’s decorative area, filled with bespoke pieces, and surrounded by warm colors. There’s a lamb sculpture by François Xavier LaLanne along with a stunning Oscar Niemeyer chair, Georges Jouve cocktail table, and a Charlotte Perriand console. Joseph Dirand definitely knew how to establish the perfect balance between comfort and luxury.

In ultimate entertainment place, there’s a central living room with an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower. To complete the look, there’s a Pierre Jeanneret sofa and chairs, surrounded by a cocktail table by Joseph Dirand.
