Paris Designer’s Days starts today in the french capital and it’s all set up to deeply enjoy this design festival!
Among the highlights, there are featured major brands such as Baccarat, Calligaris, Cappellini, Cassina, Dedar and Kartell. Design galleries are also in the front of the trends’ field with symbolic representations such as Carpenters Workshop Gallery, Gallery Slot or Gallery S. Bensimone.
Partnerships play also a major role: it is the case of B&B Italia, which is showcasing with the international multistore Silvera.
The theme of Designer’s Days is an opportunity to demonstrate, through a scenography entitled “The effect Papilio,” which recounts archival footage and prototype developments of Papilio collection, which belongs to the japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa.
Baccarat
Back to a collaboration initiated since 2011, Baccarat and Cantonal Art School of Lausanne continued working in 2013 in their common reflection on the Harcourt icon. Five pairs of students sign up for the Lights of Baccarat Harcourt collection … it really worths to take a look at these ntriguing and contemporary fixtures.
Cappellini
Matali Crasset is improving her portfolio since she features within the Designer’s Days a new installation around what she calls a meta-form, to Cappellini. The assumption is to start from a known simple form that develops almost indefinitely and grows in different ways to bring a unique “world”.
Kartell
“Et demain”…means “And tomorrow”. Even more love. More love in products, research, technology and innovation! Tomorrow Kartell is love for its past and its present.
Dicover Paris Designer’s Days during this design journey!
