A spring collection that reflects our current tie of social upheaval, a series of movements that haven’t been seen since the 60s. From moto gear to glass mosaic dresses, this extremely diverse collection is tied together by a printed theme, as said before, female artists.
Before blazers became the It item of Fashion Week, Chiuri was showing them at her Dior shows. During Paris Fashion Week, she doubled down on the proposition, showing sharply tailored double-breasted versions with slit skirts and bodysuits, among several other astonishing and ground-breaking features.
Through this collection, the fashion designer wants to propose a meeting of sportswear and eveningwear. Lots of colours played a fundamental role in the collection with special distinction to white, black and red which were invaded by splashes of bright colours here and there.
As a whole, Maria Grazia Chiuri who has been at the forefront of changing how society views women, was able to craft a story of female empowerment and youthful eccentricity.
