Philippe Starck has once again broken through the normal standards of interior design! What’s next for the designer you mean? Well, we’re talking about the ultimate experience, the next frontier, the world’s first spacial hotel, Axiom Space. This first hotel in orbit was completely designed by Starck and is set to open its doors by 2024. Axiom Space chose Philippe Starck to be the head designer behind the project of a lifetime, the world’s first spacial hotel. As you can see, decoration of the rooms should combine padded interiors in beige shades and large portholes to observe planet Earth, located some 408 kilometers away.

According to the designer, this project is a dream of his, due to his love for space exploration. “It’s a dream project for a creator like me who is genuinely passionate about space exploration”. This is part of the launching of the first space tourism program that will fly individuals on expeditions to the International Space Station (ISS).

It’s the ultimate dream trip, but there are some requirements to fulfill in order to go to the next frontier. The guest should be at least 21 years old when taking off into space, follow a preparation course lasting fifteen days and, finally, spending $ 55 million per person for 7 to 10 days of travel. For the trip, of course that you would be surrounded by luxury accommodation modules with five-star comfort.

The walls are embroidered with hundreds of nano-Leds with changing colors as a continuation of the view on the universe through the large windows. Just as all the shades of lights and colors of day and night, the egg will also live to the mood and biorhythm of its osmotic inhabitant.
