How do you like this retro look on this amazing French apartment? Paris-based designer Marion Mailaender was the one behind this incredible and authentic renovation. The main goal was to make it look like a swimming pool, in order to give the sensation of being on holiday relaxing every day. Scroll down and join Paris Design Agenda on this grand tour!

This kitchen is embellished with technical flair, sharing a stainless-steel cabinetry that is both simple and minimalist, and the lack of upper cabinets in the kitchen keeps things feeling light and open. The shine of the steel material throughout the kitchen is complemented with the glass dining table and chrome dining chairs.

The designer fixated on a color palette that was mostly white, along with selected pieces such as artwork, books, plants, and carpeting. With large windows and clear furniture, this setting is filled with light and warmth.

The bathroom is the darker setting of the house, having almost an industrial look to it due to the darker cooper material. Embellishing is an antique mirror, wood tub surround, and a twist color through the blue faucet.

The special feature of the master bedroom is definitely the floor to ceiling windows, that also present with an exclusive and beautiful view. The light that enters is able to fill the room with comfort, giving the ultimate swimming pool feel.

Behind the inspiration for this design, Marion Mailaender said that she’s a “big fan of Italian design especially from the 1970s and 1980s, like Sottsass, Scarpa and Cae Aulenti”. What do you think about this retro decor?
