Ideally located between the Opera Garnier and the Jardin des Tuileries, Le Roch has been conceived as a place of life on a human scale, a welcome bracket to escape the city bustle. With 37 rooms including 4 suites, the first hotel signed Sarah Lavoine is an invitation to conviviality punctuated with cozy notes. Let’s push without further delay the doors of this new Parisian confidential spot.

Roch Hotel & Spa Designed by Sarah LavoineA new Parisian address chic and confidential
It is in the heart district of Sarah Lavoine, close to its office and its historic shop (9 rue Saint-Roch), that is installed Le Roch. It was therefore natural to entrust the decoration to his expert hands. To realize this first project of hotel, the architect and decorator of interior was inspired by the codes of the Parisian style and magnified them.

For the sake of detail, which was pushed to its peak, she took great care not only in the choice of colors but also in the furniture, which she partially designed. Result? An elegant, welcoming place with a cozy and friendly atmosphere, like a private apartment where it is good to meet. By a skilful set of lights and materials, she has mixed her signature colors with finesse: a deep black with soft pastels, the Blue Sarah, and a bright red brick.

As for the transformation of the place, from office buildings to an exceptional hotel, it has been entrusted to the 25 years of experience of the Cabinet d’architecture of Vincent Bastie.

A cozy and welcoming lobby area

Once the doors of Roch are crossed, the tone is given. In the small reception room located in front of the reception, place to a specially subdued atmosphere. Here, a bench and two armchairs upholstered in velvet echo a carpet Ikat motifs. On the wall, a large library occupies the space in style. The whole is highlighted by a harmony of vibrant blues. A few meters away, the lobby and its imposing library offer a beautiful relaxation area reserved for passengers in transit, as to the guests of the adjoining bar.

An intimate restaurant bathed in light

In order to contrast with the deep tones of these first spaces, Sarah Lavoine invited the light of day on the restaurant side thanks to a magnificent glass roof. If we raise our heads, a glimpse of the outside garden is offered to us, like a vegetable respiration. In harmony with the roundness of the skylight, the center of the room revolves around a few benches in navy blue velvet, also arranged along the walls. From the heart of the redoubts, the chairs with their pastel hints make this decor both chic and relaxed. In the kitchen, we find young chef Arnaud Faye – rewarded to date with 2 Michelin stars and 4 toques at the Gault and Millau 2016 – who sign a card of fresh local products. Enjoy a seasonal menu at reasonable prices (lunch break menu at 29 euros).

Conceived like real small Parisian apartments, the 32 rooms and 5 suites of the Roch offer generous surfaces, ranging from 20 to 47 m2 for the Saint-Roch suite. Very bright, they combine elegance and contemporary chic in warm and vitamin, as more sober. Decorated according to 5 color codes dear to Sarah Lavoine and imagined with Ressource, they mix powdered pink, black and white, saffron yellow, pistachio green, not to mention the unmistakable Blue Sarah. In subtle touches in the room, on the headboard in two-tone fabric, the velvet, the carpets designed by the designer and published by Chevalier Éditions, or the curtains, the colors blend.

Above the bed, Maison Sarah Lavoine wood mirrors give relief and reflect the lighting effects created by brass fixtures. On the ground, the fine walnut parquet flooring warms the atmosphere. Finally, in the bathrooms, white or black Carrara marble and Moroccan zelliges invite to travel and relaxation …
