Everyone’s attention in on Paris now and its amazing trade show of lifestyle and home decoration. Maison et Objet is an enormous bazaar of style, a show of shows that’s filled with everything from luxurious fabrics and furniture to housewares. It has over 3,000 exhibitors that come from around the world—but the booths epitomize Parisian savoir faire.
It’s also one of the best places in the world to shop for luxurious designer products for home decoration and interior design. Let’s take a look at some of the novelties presented this year by top designer and luxury brands exhibiting at the Paris fair.
The Swarovski booth dazzled with fixtures from its Crystal Palace collection, including a ball chandelier by Tom Dixon.
Kenzo Maison presented a new collection “Struttura e Volume”, which has an extensive range of furniture with a luxury design.
Jaime Hayon’s bespoke Crystal Candy Collection was the star of the luxury brand, Baccarat, booth. The designer created nine different designs, which are being produced in limited editions.
Nani Marquina, the inventive Spanish rug company, had a number of introductions; perhaps the most striking was “Formosa.” Designed by fine artist Michael Lin, it’s made of 100 percent wool.
Bonaldo presented Giuseppina, a modern interpretation of the classic spindle back chair.
A glass and stainless steel oil lamp is bound to become a new classic for Georg Jensen. It comes with a carbon fiber wick, which never needs replacing and is suitable for outdoor use.

Many luxury furniture brands with showrooms in the city planned to introduce new products during this trade show. Luxury brand Molteni launched its Wood Collection, designed by Rodolfo Dordoni.
Rather than showing at Maison et Objet, Patrick Frey and his son Pierre presented the company’s new fabrics to the press and trade customers at its expansive Rue de Mail shop in town.
